Meet the Team
Dive Kaikoura Owner, Dive Instructor, Technician Instructor, Photographer.
Steve has been in the dive industry for almost 30 years, he has worked as a Marketing and Technical Manager for Scubapro, Tusa and Poseidon. He also started from scratch First Stage Service and Training which is one of Australia's largest independent service centres.
Steve's knowledge of all technical servicing is hard to match, he often builds his own test equipment to such a standard that his work is in demand. Steve has been teaching divers to service gear for many years and has written the service manuals for Tusa and the training material for Scubapro, which are both still in use today.
Steve also enjoys his photography both underwater and on land. This photo of Steve was taken in Iceland.

PADI MSDT + Specialty Instructor
Jaydin is an experienced instructor and has completed many dives in a myriad of conditions and locations in both fresh and saltwater. He began diving in 2011 in the cold waters of Dunedin. Jaydin continued diving and training in various conditions and completed his instructor level training in the North Island.
Jaydin is as local as they come, hailing from the Catlins and only ever diving NZ waters, he can offer plenty of local tips and tricks. He has a special love for the coastline here and can show you exactly what it has to offer.
His most prized possession is his hair and when he isn't strapped onto a scuba tank he can almost always be found in the water in some other way, be it with a spear in his hand, free diving or out on the kayak.
Jaydin speaks fluent Kiwi and some poor English, which gets better with Speights.

Evelyn began diving in 2006 in the beautiful tropics. After a close encounter with a Humpback she decided to pursue a professional diving career in 2016. She is used to cold and harsh conditions, doing a majority of her training at Lake Coleridge in the Southern Alps. She passed her PADI Instructor exam in 1.5m visibility in 2017 and has been teaching ever since.
She has particular skill in hunting for the little critters. If you love the macro life, Nudibranch and juvenile fish, she is the diver for you!
Evelyn is a safe and knowledgeable instructor, and you will enjoy your diving with her, her favourite part about diving is sharing her passion for the underwater world with anyone who will listen.
Ev speaks fluent Canadian and some English, as well as conversational French.
